Hands-On internship opportunities
Science Center interns are unpaid, however all interns gain valuable experience, enjoy a flexible part-time schedule with plenty of Hands-On Fun! Participating interns come from several local universities including Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Southwestern State College.
Aquarist/Aquarium Assistant
Work with Science Center Staff to maintain the centers touch tank and aquariums and care for the critters which inhabit them.
Doscent/Tour Guide Assistant
Work with professional Science Center Staff to present guided tours of the center and assist with Working Waterfront Tour.
Assistant Exhibit Designer
Work with professional Science Center Staff to build and maintain exhibits that motivate visitors, capture curiosity and immerse visitors with a story of focused content.
Research Assistant
Work with Science Center researchers to help in the collection and evaluation of project data. Must posses a valid boaters safety card.
