The Ostego Bay Silent Auction Fundraiser has long been considered a unique experience. This event, now in its 22nd year, is scheduled for Friday evening, December 3rd, 2021 just in time for the holidays.

This waterfront event is sponsored by Bonita Bill's Waterfront Café located on historic Fisherman's Wharf under the Mantanzas Pass Bridge on San Carlos Island, Fort Myers Beach. The event starts at 5:00 pm and runs until 8 pm. The Fish Fry is offered at only $12 per person with a portion of the proceeds going towards supporting the Ostego Bay Foundation. Entrance to the auction is free, however you should arrive early to review all the local treasures. Bid on exceptional products and services from overnight stays at popular local resorts to fine art by local nature artists. You will be certain to find that unique gift for that special person and benefits a great cause.

The Ostego Bay Foundation continues to grow. It has been our pleasure to serve the local community for 30 years and we continue to build upon our heritage of Conservation Through Education. We impact the wellbeing of our children with multiple education-oriented programs. The Marine Science Summer Camps are very popular and well attended. Campers experience firsthand that learning can be fun and what they experience memorable taught by accredited instructors. Children learn what is under the water during the annual kids fishing tournament held the first Saturday before the Fourth of July. Another popular event that builds knowledge and family bonding.

These are just a couple of instances of our ongoing commitment to our community. Our efforts center around conservation through education which encourages stewardship of our environment. Founded in 1991, the Ostego Bay Foundation Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that operates The Marine Science Center located on San Carlos Island, Fort Myers Beach, Florida across from Estero Island. The Foundation does not receive any taxpayer funding and relies solely upon donations, fund raisers and membership to support its mission.

Your donation supports the mission of the Ostego Bay Foundation, Inc. that promotes the understanding, preservation, and enhancement of our unique marine environment through education, research, and community involvement. The Foundation provides interactive educational experiences to encourage stewardship of our natural resources.

The Marine Science Center is a favorite travel destination for tourists that visit Southwest Florida earning the Trip Advisors 2020 Travelers Choice Award. Old and young alike enjoy its offering of talented staff, unique exhibits, museum in a suitcase road show to schools, kids summer camp, estuarial aquariums, touch tank and Working Waterfront Tours.
